Coastal Autumn Light
I painted this scene to capture the vibrant energy of the Pacific coast on a clear day. I was drawn to the striking contrast between the fiery, russet ground cover and the deep, sparkling blues of the ocean. My aim was to convey that feeling of expansive calm, with the sunlight dancing on the waves and the rugged textures of the rocks. I wanted to hold onto the memory of that crisp air and the quiet freedom of the lone bird soaring overhead.
